Not just buying Cr&p

Don't get suckered in to purchasing things just because you can save money! As Steve reminds me, if we don't actually need it, then we aren't saving money anyways. We're just spending more!

Welcome!

Here we go as I start this journey of saving money for the family. Thanks for visiting me, and I hope you check back often. I'm going to start out with a weekly log, but then hopefully increase my posts to be daily. I will be posting coupon links and the amazing deals that I have found. Here are a few pictures of the deals that I got last week:

Why the disposable diapers? Well, Steve and I decided that for the first week or so that the new baby arrives we don't want to be worrying about washing cloth diapers so we are going to use disposables for a few weeks. Here's the tally:

Walgreens:
1 Huggies Jumbo Pack
1 Pull Ups Jumbo Pack
2 Huggies wipes jumbo packs
5 flushable wipe packs
3 Walgreens brand travel wipes
2 bottles imitation vanilla

Target:
3 cans Muir Glen organic diced tomatoes
2 cans Muir Glen organic pizza sauce
5 cans Muir Glen organic tomato paste

How much did I spend/save?
Here's the register tape from Walgreens:

Notice that I spent $22.70 and saved $58.97!!! Wow!!!

Here's the Target tape:

The total was $13.02, and I saved $10.00 by using 10 of these Muir Glen Coupons.

I'm excited about this journey, and I hope you check back often to share deals with me that you have found and let me know what you would like to see here.
